Ovulation Induction

Ovulation induction is the stimulation of the production of a small number of eggs (ideally one and not more than three) by hormonal medication.

Hormones in tablet form (antiestrogen – clomiphene citrate) are used for ovarian stimulation.

Egg production is monitored by ultrasound vaginal examinations and the correct timing of sexual intercourse or insemination is determined according to the follicle growth.

Ovulation induction is thus suitable for female clients whose eggs do not mature, namely for women suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
