Approximately 10 to 20% of couples have an experience with fertility problems, 40% of which are male-related, 40% are female-related and the remaining 20% are a combination of both. In practice, one out of 25 men suffers from reduced fertility or complete infertility. Approximately 90% of the cases are caused by low sperm count, poor sperm quality or both. At present, modern infertility treatment methods are available that are effective in a large majority of the cases, provided that a correct diagnose is made.
